Welcome to the Overdose Survivors Outreach Program (OSOP)

The Overdose Survivors Outreach Program uses peers in hospital emergency rooms and in the field to offer recent overdose survivors linkage to treatment services, naloxone training, and a consistent point of contact should someone wish to enter care. Data indicates prior overdose as a risk factor for future overdoses, and the high percentage of individuals who had visits to hospital emergency rooms prior to the overdose death.

This is a DHMH-funded project that seeks to create better pathways to treatment by creating closer collaboration between medical facilities, local health departments, and treatment facilities.
